Got a Cold? Choose Alkaline Foods and Natural Health Drinks

2011-07-14 11:40:56

Creating a healthy resurgence from a cold by consuming more alkaline foods and health drinks can give the body a boost of energy. The good news is that when the cold dissipates, the body is cleaner, leaner and should function better, presuming you don't start loading up on junk again. Here is a good way to get back into a groove with even more energy and stamina than before.
First, let the cold run its course. It is really the body's way of eliminating toxins that have built up over time. Reaching for antihistamines or other drugs to calm the runny nose and cough may offer some short term relief, but it is not best for enhancing recovery from a cold. Stalling the process only prolongs the pain, and does not offer the full benefit of a healthy cleanse. A good, cleansing cold usually lasts about 7-10 days. Understanding that a cold is a natural cleanse is a mental boost, if nothing else.

Budapest Food And Drink

2011-07-14 11:40:56

Introduction:
Recent years have seen an expansion in the range of cuisines on offer but traditional Magyar cooking still dominates Budapest menus.

In common with most Central European countries, meat dishes in Hungary are the staple, portions are generous and desserts rich. Prices are, on the whole, extremely reasonable even in the best of Budapest's many restaurants.

Hungarians are especially passionate about their soups, desserts and pastries and stuffed pancakes (palacsinta), with fierce rivalries between regional variations of the same dish, (like the Hungarian hot fish soup called Fisherman's Soup or halaszle, cooked differently on the banks of Hungary's two main rivers: the Danube and the tisza). Other famous Hungarian dishes would be Paprikash (stew) with nokedli (small dumplings), Goulash, Gundel Pancake and Dobos Cake.
